5day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Large Language Models” (Offline)
ICFOSS is organising a 5-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Large Language Models” from 5th to 9th May 2025 from 10.00AM to 5.00PM at ICFOSS, Sports Hub, Greenfield, Karyavattom. This Faculty Development Program aims to equip participants with a deep understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs)—from theoretical foundations to hands-on implementation.
Objectives:
The program covers the evolution of LLMs, the Transformer architecture, and current trends in training, optimizing, and deploying models. Participants will engage with pre-trained and fine-tuned models, explore multimodal and agentic LLMs, and build intelligent AI applications using tools like LangChain and LangGraph. By the end of the program, faculty will be empowered to train, evaluate and apply LLMs in real-world educational and research scenarios, including document understanding, conversational AI, and multi-agent systems.
Dates & Duration : The FDP will be conducted over a period of 5 days.
Duration: The course will be of 30 hours duration (6 hours per day)

Intended audience: Facultymembers/PG Students/Research Scholars from diverse Colleges /Universities/Institutions/ Other Organisations.
Number of participants : A maximum of 30 participants will be allowed to attend, on a first come first serve basis.
Registration Fee: Rs. 3000 (Working lunch, tea and snacks included). *Accommodation charges extra*.
Pre-requisites:
To learn large language models, one should have a solid foundation in programming, especially in Python, machine learning and deep learning basics.
