The "National Level Open Hardware-IoT Geospatial Hackathon", is an exciting initiative organized by IIT Bombay-FOSSEE, IIT Tirupati and ICFOSS. The inaugural ceremony of this national level  program is scheduled to be held at  International Centre For Free and Open Source Solutions(ICFOSS)  on 29th April, 2024.

This hackathon is more than just a competition; it's a platform for innovators, creators, and visionaries to come together and pioneer solutions for a brighter future. Our purpose is to harness the power of open source hardware, the Internet of Things (IoT), and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to address some of the world's most pressing challenges. This hackathon ensures training in the requisite skills, ideation, mentoring and formulation of solutions to address the pressing requirements especially the Sustainable Development Goals. Participants are encouraged to form inter disciplinary teams across various regions and work upon specific requirements in climate monitoring, health care, agriculture management, logistics, smart villages and so on utilising IoT and GIS.
