International Centre for Free and Open Source Solutions (ICFOSS) is organizing a 5-day Summer Camp in “Free and Open Source Software” (FOSS) tailored for students currently pursuing grades 8 to 12. The program is scheduled to be held from 6th to 10th of May 2024.

Objectives: This camp will primarily revolve around engaging activities related to free software, aimed at fostering a deeper interest in free software tools among the students. Through hands-on experiences with various free software technologies, the students will have the opportunity to cultivate creativity and enhance problem-solving skills. With the guidance of professionals from ICFOSS, each student will receive personalized attention to accomplish assigned tasks.

Course Highlights: Live Classes, Structured curriculum by industry veterans, Customized for time flexibility, Custom learning path, Practical experience through simulation and project.

Mode of training: This training program will be conducted offline. Our systematic approach includes skill assessments, intensive training and mentoring that helps valuable learning opportunities and unwavering support to students.

Topics: Introduction to FOSS and Ubuntu Basics, Scribus- Desktop Publishing Software, Introduction to Programming and Python and AI.

Application Process: Applications are invited through ICFOSS website, on a first come first serve basis. The number of participants is limited to 30 No.s per batch.

Targeted Participants: It is tailored for students currently pursuing grades 8 to 12

Prerequisites : The student is expected to have a fundamental understanding of using computers.

Course Duration: Total of 5 Days (6 Hrs per Day- 30 Hour course)

Dates: May 6th to May 10th 2024, between 10.00AM and 5.00PM.

Registration Fee: An amount of Rs. 2,500/- shall be charged from a student.
